SOS Children's Village e.V.
What is the project about?
Families from different cultures live in Frankfurt's suburb Sossenheim. Here, many children, teenagers and adults are affected by various social problems. Together with the city of Frankfurt am Main, the SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. focusses on this need for help and offers care and support around education, health promotion and leisure activities at its dedicated SOS Children and Family Center with a daycare centre, social get-togethers and educational programs.
The heart of the centre is an open area with a family café and game rooms where people from the neighbourhood can meet, catch up, build a social network and create a livable community. The family café is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and offers a reasonably priced lunch menu between 11:30 am and 2:00 pm.

With your help, the family café, the heart of the SOS Children and Family Center in Frankfurt am Main, is now to be embellished. With your support and donations, and apart from the courses that are usually held in the family center, we want to create a cozy place that invites people to spend time at, take a break and socialize. So that children who eat here after school can enjoy a homely, friendly atmosphere and parents, pregnant women or single parents can exchange themselves in a trusting environment. In addition to newly, warmly painted walls, plants, pillows and other decoration items, your donations will also help expand the children's corner in the family café - the children's corner is particularly important for parents who want to bring along their children to the family café but are not receiving child care or don’t have access to babysitters.
